Maybe it was because Sora and Riku had been born there, but she wasn’t used to thunderstorms. Not like the boys, anyway. When it had started pouring down, she grabbed onto Riku’s arm and let him lead her to the shack. It was pretty exciting, running through the rain! But it soaked into their clothes, and they weren’t going to be home anytime soon…
Eager to help, Kairi did her share in gathering firewood together. Their pile was small, and she thought about going back outside to get more, but then they’d have to wait for it to dry.
While Riku was setting up the fire, she walked around the small shack, looking for anything useful… Ah! There was a blanket in the corner. It smelled musty, but it was definitely better than nothing. Kinda small, too… Oh well, she didn’t have a problem with giving it to Riku. He was going to get sick, if he stayed in those cold, wet clothes.
“Yeah… We’ll be okay!” She offered him a warm smile when he sat down next to her. Once he was close enough, she fanned out the blanket and wrapped it around his shoulders. “Here! You caught it way worse than me…”
